Math Ref User Reviews
We're all finished with the next update to Math Ref and Math Ref Free. We've taken care of all the known bugs and we even added some new things this past week. We just wanted to take moment and mention some of the amazing reviews we've received on iTunes so far for the current version. These reviews are listed for version 2.3.4 which we're working with Apple to fix, but are for the current version.
Holy hell guys! by eli9000
I don't usually write reviews, but when I do it's because it's epic! Well done!great ap by lol fan
My favorite math reference ap. Recent update improved aesthetics and ease of use. Haven't seen anything in print or online with so much useful info.Nicely done by Qoojay12
I love this app. Helped me remember formulas. It would be much better if graphing tool is included.Great app by Javier Camino
Love the update.Fantastic by Math fan
update for version 2.4.0 -- the references have been expanded, many toolkits have been added and the user interface has been dramatically upgraded. This is a surprisingly broad compendium of widely used formulas, nicely organized and displayed. The latest revision adds appealing graphics that make what was very good great. A wonderful reference for any college student in math and related fields and graduates searching for reminders. The best dollar I have spent on my iPad; would still be a bargain at $5.
We continue to listen to your requests and we think these reviews are proof we really do care about this app and want to make it the best it can be. Thanks to everyone who has given us feedback and we hope we can make the app even better together. Have a great week and if there's anything you'd like to see in the app just let us know.
Minor Math Ref Update Coming Soon
Hope everyone had a great weekend. The feedback just keeps coming in and it's amazing to hear from so many people, thank you all for contacting us and for helping us make a better app. We've got the minor update to Math Ref just about done. There's been a few reports of a scrolling issue where some users are unable to scroll to the bottom of the topics list. We're going to try and get this fixed in this update before submission. If you've experienced this issue, please email us and let us know, we'd love to get some reproducible steps for us to test from you to help get to the bottom of this issue. Aside from that issue, we think we got all other bugs and typos that people have written us about. We're so happy that people care enough about the app to want to make it better. We said it last week, but we really are humbled by the response from you guys about this update. Thank you.
Speaking of being humbled, we came across some sites that mention Math Ref and it's really great to be included in lists like these. Anytime we're mentioned in a list of best education apps we know we're on the right track with Math Ref. Check out the links below and have a great week!

Math Ref 2.4.0 is Out
After a long wait, Math Ref 2.4.0 and Math Ref Free 2.4.0 are now available on iTunes. This is a huge update and we're so excited to have it done and in your hands. So far the feedback has been fantastic and we couldn't be happier. We've had nearly 250,000 people update the app between Math Ref and Math Ref Free which is awesome. Thank you so much to everyone who has updated already, and to all our new users. You guys keep us so motivated to keep making the best app we can and are the reason our update is such a huge success. We'd also like to thank everyone who emailed us your questions, comments, and bugs in the new version. We just want to let you know that we're listening and will be getting a patch build out this weekend to fix these minor bugs. So thank you all again, without your feedback we wouldn't know what we're getting right and what's not quite there yet. All of you make this app possible, and make it possible for us to keep updating it, bringing new features and content with each update. We're absolutely humbled by the response, thank you.
iPad Gets a New Look
It's been awhile since we've posted, but we've been super busy. We've gotten a few emails since the last update regarding the iPad version of the app, particularly the look of the app. Well, we're very happy to say that the next iPad version is getting a facelift similar to the iPhone version. Check out the screen shots below. We've added a new favorites system, tools, printer support and overall a great new look. We're really sorry that it's been so long between updates. We're a small group and some of us have full-time jobs in the video games industry, which means little time to maintain the app during crunch time. Does this mean we won't continue to give our apps a lot of love and make sure that we're doing everything we can to make the best app we can? No way! We love what we do and we love seeing all the ways Math Ref has helped people over the years all over the world. We're super passionate about our projects and can't wait to get this update into your hands. Once Apple starts letting developers submit iOS 5 compatible apps, we'll get this submitted to them.
Let us know what you think of these screen shots. We're really interested to know what you all think about the new look. Comments are back online so feel free to use that or any of the social links in the sidebar. As always, have a great weekend everyone and we hope to hear from each and everyone of you!
New Print Support in Math Ref
Sorry we've missed a couple weekly news updates, but really quickly we wanted to share some more screens of the next version of Math Ref, specifically the new print support. We've added the ability to print an equation as seen below, or print all the equations from a favorites group. This means you'll be able to create a favorite group of equations for a test and simply print them all out or email them to a group of people in a PDF. We're also going to make it so you can choose whether or not to include the examples. Just another great feature coming to the app that you the users requested, so thank you. We're always taking suggestions and input on ways to improve the app so just let us know. Feel free to comment on a post or use any of our contact info in the sidebar area. Thanks for all your support and for your amazing feedback. Have a great week everyone!
A New Look
It's been a bit since our last post and we wanted to take some time to introduce Math Ref's new look and one of the many new features coming to the next version of the app. First off, we've made it easier to write us and comment on the app by putting an email button in the navigation bar. Next up, we're adding tools to certain sections. Below are the tools for the Algebra section and a sample of one of the tools, namely the 2 point solver. We're doing everything we can to make Math Ref the complete package: equations, examples, and tools. As always, let us know what you think by leaving a comment or via the sidebar. Have a great week everyone!
Weekly Update
We're still working on the massive update to Math Ref and the even bigger news is that we're working on our first game too. First off, Math Ref. As you may know the update (2.3.4) for both the free and paid version of the app became available last week on the App Store, so if you haven't updated we really hope you do. With every update we need to hear from you guys to know what we're getting right and what needs work. You don't have to write a review even giving us stars helps. So, if you have a second head over to the App Store and rate http://tunes.apple.com/us/app/math-ref/id301384057?mt=8">Math Ref and/or Math Ref Free. Also, in Math Ref news we'd like to bring to everyone's attention this cool little site http://sumtimesrational.com/. These guys are some Math Ref users who reached out to us and, full disclosure here, we're looking to start a partnership with them that will allow some amazing new features to be added to Math Ref. Take some time and read their nice (unsolicited) comparison of Math Ref and Math Pro, another great math app.
A while back we mentioned that we were toying with the idea of making our first game. We'll earlier this month that idea became much more tangible and real. We're targeting an end of the year release and we'll be posting demo builds on the site for you all to try out and give us feedback on before we release it to the world. We've got so much planned for this year and next and just want to say thank you so much for all your support.
Comments and criticisms are always welcome so either leave them below or contact us using any of the links in the sidebar. Have an awesome week everyone!
Happy Mother’s Day and Some Math Ref News
Hey everyone, hope you had a great week and Happy Mother's Day to all you moms out there. It's been a rather busy week for us and as you can see the new site is just about done. The mini-updates for Math Ref and Math Ref Free are out and both are now currently at version 2.3.4. We found out after approval that Math Ref Free had some additional content that is not used in the app taking up space. If you've seen the warning letting you know that you need to be connected to WIFI or through iTunes that's the reason since it's now over the 20mb cap. Since we're going to be doing the major update in the next few months, we're probably not going to submit an update to address this issue until then. That being said, if this is a major issue for anyone let us know and we'll do what we can to get an update to fix this. As for Math Ref, if you've updated we hope you find the time to rate the app. You don't have to write a review, just giving us stars lets us know how we're doing. Feel free to leave a comment below or use any of the links in the sidebar. Hope you all have a great week and thanks for all the support.
The New Site
Hello from the new Happy Maau website. Over the past few days we've been migrating from our old hosting provider to our new one and in the process moved over happymaau.com. You might have also noticed that we switched over to WordPress too and so far the transition has been pretty smooth. Our email accounts are all back to normal so info@happymaau.com is ready to answer any question you may have. Just wanted to say thank you to everyone for being patient with us over these past few days.
A tiny bit of Math Ref news now. We submitted Math Ref 2.3.4 to Apple, both the free and paid versions last week. So far the paid version has gone completely through the review process and is available, but we're still waiting to see if the free version makes it through too. This is not the huge update, we're still working on that, but we let some evil feature creep in which slowed us down a bit. We're going to remove a few things we had hoped to get in and will be getting the update out within the next few months.
Thanks again everyone for your patience and let us know what you think using the contact form or social links in the sidebar.
